REVIEW, COMMUNITY & VERIFICATION POLICY

My Diving Call exists to increase transparency, trust and professionalism within the diving industry.

Community Standards

Users are expected to:

  • Treat others respectfully
  • Engage in constructive discussions
  • Share truthful experiences
  • Contribute to a positive and professional environment

Review Guidelines

Reviews should be based on genuine first-hand experiences.

My Diving Call encourages reviews based on genuine first-hand experiences.

Professional verification increases transparency regarding the reviewer's background but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of any review.

Users are responsible for the content they publish and should make reasonable efforts to ensure their reviews are fair, accurate, and based on actual experience.

Users should:

  • Be honest and factual
  • Describe experiences accurately
  • Avoid personal attacks
  • Avoid discriminatory language
  • Avoid publishing confidential information

Reviews may be removed if they:

  • Are fraudulent or misleading
  • Were not based on actual experience
  • Contain threats, harassment or hate speech
  • Violate privacy rights
  • Attempt to extort benefits in exchange for review changes

Professional Reviews

Verified professionals may leave reviews based on their professional experiences. Professional verification helps readers understand the reviewer's background but does not make a review automatically correct or superior.

Verification Policy

Professional users may voluntarily verify themselves using a valid identification number issued by a recognized diving agency.

Verification confirms that:

  • The credential exists
  • The credential belongs to the user submitting it

Verification does not guarantee:

  • Skill level
  • Employment status
  • Current certification status
  • Safety record

Disputing Reviews

Users, professionals, and dive operations may report reviews, comments, posts, or other content they believe violate these policies.

When reporting content, users should provide sufficient information explaining the concern.

Reported content may be reviewed by moderators and administrators.

Submission of a report does not guarantee removal of content.

My Diving Call may retain, remove, restrict, edit, or leave content unchanged after review, at its sole discretion, in the interests of and coordinating with all parties involved.

Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination

No Retaliation

Users should not threaten, pressure, intimidate, or attempt to influence others into modifying, removing, or submitting reviews.

Dive operations, professionals, and other users must not offer compensation, discounts, employment opportunities, or other benefits in exchange for positive reviews, nor threaten negative consequences for negative reviews.

Such behavior may result in content removal, suspension, or account termination.
