User Data Deletion Policy

At My Diving Call, we respect your right to control your personal information and to request the deletion of your account.

Requesting Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and associated personal data, please send a request to support@mydivingcall.com.

To help us process your request efficiently, please include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your username (if applicable)
  • A clear statement that you wish to delete your account

Processing Time

Our target response time for account deletion enquiries is within 5 business days. We may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.

What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When an account deletion request is approved:

  • Your account will be permanently deactivated.
  • Personal information associated with your account will be removed or anonymized where reasonably possible.
  • Your public profile will no longer be accessible.
  • You will no longer be able to access the Platform using the deleted account.

Reviews, Posts and Community Contributions

My Diving Call is a community platform whose value depends on preserving useful information and historical discussions.

For this reason, reviews, ratings, comments, posts, and other community contributions you have submitted may remain visible on the Platform after account deletion.

However:

  • Your name, username, profile photo, and other identifying profile information will be removed.
  • Content previously associated with your account will instead be attributed to Former Member.

This allows the community to retain valuable information while protecting the identity of former users.

Data That May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained where necessary for:

  • Legal obligations
  • Fraud prevention and security investigations
  • Enforcement of our Terms of Service
  • Resolution of disputes
  • Protection of the Platform, its users, and third parties

Such information will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Limitations

Deleting your account does not automatically remove content created by other users that references or interacts with your content.

Information retained for legal, security, or compliance purposes may not be immediately deleted.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
